May I ask EU Commissioner Cecilia Malmström or the EU Representation Office in Malta to kindly explain to the Maltese people whether FRONTEX is still in existence? And if it is, what is it doing?

Is Frontex trying to stop or greatly reduce illegal immigration to EU member states? If so, how is it doing this? Or is it helping to ensure that the illegal immigrants who leave from North African shores reach the southern shores of Europe safely, including Malta?

In my opinion – and I believe my opinion is shared by the vast majority of the Maltese people – Frontex has been one big hoax!
