Vladimiro Comodini and Robert Farrugia, President and Director respectively, represented the ISACA Malta Chapter in ISACA’s 2013 Europe-Africa September Leadership Conference that took place in London, last month. Around 50 leaders from various ISACA chapters in the Europe-Africa region were participating in the conference.

“ISACA Leadership Conferences offer chapter leaders the opportunity to share experiences and to exchange best practices,” Mr Comodini said. “The Malta Chapter makes every effort to participate in these events to ensure that its strategy remains aligned with the overall ISACA strategy.”

The conference discussed a number of environment friendly initiatives undertaken by ISACA and the Cyber Security Awareness month in collaboration with the European Network and Information Security Agency. ISACA’s Cobit 5 framework and members’ training was also on the agenda. COBIT 5 is the latest edition of ISACA’s globally accepted framework, providing an end-to-end business view of the governance of enterprise IT that reflects the central role of information and technology in creating value for enterprises. The principles, practices, analytical tools and models found in COBIT 5 embody thought leadership and guidance from business, IT and governance experts around the world.

The conference also served as an opportunity for Mr Comodini and Mr Farrugia to network with the highly regarded speakers that were attending the conference, which is considered to be Europe’s premier conference for audit, information security and risk management that took place after the Leadership Conference.

ISACA is an independent, non-profit, global organization and provides up-to-date knowledge and highly regarded certifications in IT Governance, Risk, Security and Assurance.
