Having a look at equity indices as a preliminary gauge of risk sentiment, we see that yesterday at close, major US equity indices rallied significantly on the back of hopes of a US debt deal. The Dow, S&P and Nasdaq all logged gains in excess of 2% and in the process registering one of the strongest daily gains for 2013.
