How would you describe the kind of music you write and perform?
Well, since our writing is all about love, rage, cynicism, hate, passion… things and moments which we go through on a daily basis, or incidents which happen to us, we call it ‘Our Diary’ music! Each piece of work we write is meaningful to us and we then perform it to share that same feeling to the public.
What of your songs do you think readers will be most familiar with?
More than Love, Callin', Night to Day, All I Want, Magical, Save me Tonight and our last single, Flight 170. Vampires, our new track, is a bit different to what we normally come up with. We love it and so do the younger fans.
What’s the song about?
It’s really all wrapped up in the expression of the song. There’s intensity in the story that the verses are portraying, and their meaning lies in between the lines, it’s very imaginative. It’s also the way that the vocals are projected. It is all about the good side of life overcoming the bad.
Who are your influences?
We get inspired by always listening to what is new in the scene, but we also always aim to be different. Moira likes Alanis Morissette and My Chemical Romance in particular, while Chris just likes any good music; he was never a fan of anyone really.
Do you work with other musicians?
Chris and Moira was always a band, ever since Eurovision and More than Love. Presently, the line-up is Billy B on bass (forever Amen!) and Philip Borg Barthet on drums.
Where have been the most amazing places you have performed so far?
The Point in Dublin, which is now the O2, The Orange Club and The Rock Garden, both in London, at the Vatican at an outdoor Papal Audience, at the last Rockestra, and many more...
How do you see your career as a band continue to develop?
As long as we keep this great feeling between us as artists, nothing will stop our writing and performing. Music is a passion we all share and we do it for the love of it.
What plans are there for the future?
The second single has come out, so soon, hopefully, we’ll release the album, if we get some funds! We’re planning to gig in Europe: it's our main objective to export our music.
How important do you consider fashion and image to be as part of the music package?
It’s of utmost importance, both have to be well balanced.
Would you consider taking part in music festivals (such as the Song for Europe) again?
Why not? Not now though! We just wish the live orchestra will be back on that stage!
What’s your joint philosophy/motto?
You get what you give.
Any advice to young musicians who would like to follow in your footsteps?
