US upbeat third-quarter earnings helped support investor appetite and the major US equity indices closed into positive territory yesterday. This morning Asian equities continued on a positive tone after remarks of soon-to-be appointed Janet Yellen. Today Ms Yellen is scheduled for a confirmation hearing in front of the Senate Banking Committee.
