More TV entertainment for Melita customers

Malta Independent Thursday, 21 November 2013, 13:05 Last update: about 13 years ago

Thousands of Melita customers are now benefitting from more TV entertainment as more channels have been added for free to their TV line-up. As from November all Medium TV subscribers got free access to National Geographic and Cartoon Network as part of their package. Cartoon Network will also be added for free to the Large TV package.

Get part of the thrill of gold mining with “Yukon Gold” or follow the true life danger and drama of America’s modern criminal families in “Inside American Mob” – all on National Geographic. And for the younger ones, Ben 10 is always on a new adventure fighting against evil aliens who want to attach planet earth or imagine yourself taming a dragon and flying around the world with Dreamworks Dragons: Defenders of Berk.

More TV channels were also added to the TV Everywhere line-up. Following the immediate success of the Melita TV App with some 15,000 downloads in the first weeks, Melita is adding more channels to the service line-up. National Geographic, Cartoon Network and Boomerang have already been added to the line-up and more channels should be added gradually.

“The response we got from clients was great. Thousands of people have downloaded the app and many of these are already using the service at home, office or in bars and restaurants. Customers can now also use the service on the newly launched melitaWIFI service. The addition of these channels is based on the feedback we got from clients, especially parents who wanted to see more children entertainment on the service”, commented Michael Darmanin, Director of Marketing at Melita.
