Over 250 Bank of Valletta employees took up the opportunity to order copies of Tisjir Mill-Qalb which were signed by HE the President of Malta Dr George Abela.  The President hosted a signing session for the fourth edition of Tisjir mill-Qalb 2013 at San Anton Palace.

Referred to as ‘the President’s Book’, this publication established itself as a popular means through which funds are collected. This is another initiative where people come together for a common cause and since the first edition was launched, 35,000 copies were sold.  This book is collaboration between some of Malta’s leading chefs, who donate their recipes to this publication. The money collected from the book’s sales goes towards this annual fund-raiser.

The Bank continues to support the community in many ways, including the backing it gives to L-Istrina year on year, primarily through the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign which now sees over 6,000 piggy banks distributed among all schools and retail outlets around the islands.  In addition to lending a hand to NGOs, Bank of Valletta helps out individuals facing challenging times by means of silent donations. Philanthropy is only one of the pillars making up its extensive Community Programme, through which it ploughs back a percentage of its profits into the community in which it operates, and with which it is inherently linked.
