It is not only curious but also tragic that both Mepa and the local Church are always a bit late where it concerns our natural environment!

After hotel sites in Gozo were converted to apartments, Mepa said it would no longer do this. And after the new cemetery in Nadur was approved, Mepa said it would no longer issue permits for new cemeteries.

The Church has been a long time awakening to the fact that she should lead – by example and by word – and be a prophet of our times and not lag behind the whole world. Destroying nature hits the poor the hardest.
