The timing of the Rabat road traffic lights leading into De Paule Avenue, Balzan, needs to be adjusted – traffic on all lanes faces red for at least 12 seconds because of the wrong timing. This happens after the green arrow indicating entry into De Paule Avenue from the Rabat road turns red, to allow traffic from De Paule Avenue to cross into the Rabat road. When the green arrow turns red, it takes 12 seconds before the amber comes on, and then the green, for the De Paule Avenue traffic to be allowed to move. It is quite frustrating. All traffic – from Rabat to the Mriehel bypass, from the bypass to Rabat, from the bypass to De Paule Avenue, and from De Paule Avenue to the Rabat road, cannot move. C. Borg, Rabat.
