Two lucky shoppers earned themselves an entire year’s worth of shopping sprees at The Point, after winning the grand prize of the mall’s Shop and Win competition.

Catherine Muscat and Joseph Bugelli each won 12 vouchers worth €200 to spend during every month of 2014, which adds up to €2,400 of shopping per winner.

The Point’s Shop and Win competition ran from November to New Year’s Eve, where people who spent €25 or more at The Point were given the opportunity to participate by filling out their details on a raffle ticket.

The tickets were then drawn on New Year’s Eve, one from the tickets supplied by women and another from the tickets supplied by men.

Both from Dingli, the winners had a hard time believing their luck when they arrived to pick up their prize.

“Malta being Malta, the winners also happened to know each other, so they both thought they were being pranked at first,” said The Point’s marketing executive Ilona Debattista.

“We are planning many other competitions this year because we love to reward our customers. So if you did not win this time, you will soon have the chance to try your luck again,” she added.
