Panta Lesco Group has strengthened its executive management team following the appointment of Reuben Portanier as General Manager and Katrina Attard as Deputy General Manager of Panta Marketing and Services Limited. Albert Attard who until recently occupied the post of managing director has been appointed non-executive director. The announcements were made by Henry Attard, Chairman of the Panta Lesco Group.

Speaking about the new executive management team, Albert Attard said that, "After celebrating our 50th year anniversary in 2012, the Panta Lesco Group embarked on a strategic plan in order  to continue strengthening the Group's position in the local and international markets, and fuelling further growth across all its business pillars. Panta Marketing and Services Ltd plays a key role in the Group's growth strategy and we are confident that this new executive management team together with the strong inherent technical engineering expertise, Panta Marketing and Services Ltd and the Panta Lesco Group will go to new heights",  

Mr Portanier, has senior management experience in the ICT and Gaming sectors, where for the past five years he occupied the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Lotteries and Gaming Authority, and previously held chief officer positions with the Datatrak Group and MITTS Ltd (now MITA).  Mr Portanier also has management consultancy experience both with Government's in-house change management agency (MSU/MEU) and with the international audit and advisory firm Arthur Andersen, having advised various blue-chip companies.  In 2004, he assisted the Government of Bermuda in its capacity building exercise on ICT and eGovernment Strategic Planning, whilst in 2013 he was elected on the Board of Trustees of the International Gaming Regulators' Association. In 2006, Mr Portanier co-authored Government's Industry Strategy for Malta 2007-2010, whilst in 2009 he also co-authored Malta's Climate Change Strategy. In 2013, Mr Portanier was awarded as one of the global Top 50 influencers of the gaming industry by the Gaming Intelligence Magazine. 
 

Ms Attard, has been with Panta since 2009, having joined as the Business Development Manager for the Building Services Contracting arm . Since then she has also taken on various projects at group level such as launching the corporate website and guiding corporate strategy. Ms Attard previously held the position of chief UK economist at a leading London-based economic consultancy firm, 4Cast Ltd. Ms Attard monitored major macroeconomic indicators, produced monthly reports quantifying forces shaping policy and advised key market players. Her analysis has been quoted on Bloomberg and Reuters. Ms Attard holds a MSc in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.
