(1-6), (2-2), (3-6), (0-6)

France brooked no quarter in yesterday’s EWPC 2014 qualification playoff against Malta when they won 20-6 with the locals extremely disappointing. It was even better than the 20-8 victory France registered in the first leg last week.

Malta were outclassed from the beginning with France dominating proceedings immediately.

The first session ended 6-1 in Les Bleus’ favour with Bodegas, Blary, Khasz and Camarasa scoring for France. Malta’s lone response came from a Steve Camilleri penalty.

The second session was much more respectable for Malta. It ended 2-2 with the local goals coming from Jordan Camilleri and Matthew Zammit.

Malta lost an important player inside the third session when Niki Lanzon was expelled with substitution depriving the locals of their captain.

Top player Steve Camilleri also ended up fouled out as the game continued, going from bad to worse from Malta.

France won the session 6-3 with Bodegas scoring again while Malta found solace through Steve Camilleri, Jerome Gabaretta and Niki Lanzon.

The final session continued the ritual humiliation for Malta who lost 6-0 with the French rounding off an impressive 20-6 victory.
