EUR/USD slipped just over 40 pips, to hit day’s lows of 1.3852 after Friday’s US Nonfarm payrolls data hit the wires. For the month of February the US economy created 175k jobs, a strong rise from the previous month’s 129k despite the current concerns over recent sluggish data. February data was stronger that the expected consensus figure of 149k, even the January figure was revised higher last Friday.
