Easy win for Neptunes

As expected, Neptunes Emirates did not brook much effort to dispose of Valletta United in a one sided encounter.

The first session was quite close ending 3-2 but in the second, Neptunes moved ahead (4-1) with Jordan Camilleri, Clint Mercieca and captain Niki Lanzon on the scoresheet.

Neptunes also dominated the third session which they won 5-1. This time it was Stellini and Timmy Agius who scored apart from the usual suspects.

Valletta recovered some of their lost pride in the final session winning 5-2 with goals coming from Spiteri Staines, Cordina, Mock and Paolella for a final score of 14-9 in favour of Neptunes.

Marsascala runaway leaders

Marsascala confirmed their status as the runaway leaders of the First Division with a hard fought victory over second placed Marsaxlokk to the tune of 11 goals to 8.

The first session went Marsascala’s way 3-1 while the second ended 2-2, with Bonello, Meli and Grixti in evidence for Marsascala while Marsaxlokk replied through Fenech and Michele Mifsud.

The third session was a see saw affair but Marsascala shaded it 4-3 with Clyde Bonello and Liam Grixti prominent for them. Marsaxlokk continued doggedly plugging in with goals from Galea, Fenech and Michele Mifsud.

The final session ended 2-2 with Meli and Fenech shining for their respective teams and a good victory for Marsascala.
