Opposition leader Simon Busuttil has filed two libel cases against the daily newspaper l-Orizzont for its claims about his asset declarations.

In a statement, the PN said that the paper was assisting Prime Minister Joseph Muscat in his “mudslinging campaign” against the Opposition leader.

“The campaign orchestrated by Dr Muscat, with the help of l-Orizzont, is being done purely to harm those who are honest and hide other’s wrongdoing,” the PN said.

The statement issued by the Labour statement on the matter is further evidence of this, the PN said.

The Party pointed out that Dr Busuttil had published all the audited accounts of ERCS limited, of which he was a director up until 2013.
