On 31 March – Freedom Day – the PN’s daily In-Nazzjon had the following title on its front page: “Another election pledge broken” (“Weghda ohra elettorali miksura”). The PN leadership and its media must consider their readers so gullible that they could make them forget that on that same day, the PL’s main electoral pledge – that of substantial reduction in electricity rates – had come to fruition!

Is it possible that Dr Simon Busuttil and whoever is responsible for the PN’s newspapers , Radio 101 and Net TV, do not realise that such puerile tricks will only impress diehard supporters, and only those who are not interested in using the grey matter in their head. Once they start receiving the W&E bills with the substantially reduced rate, they may realise that their leadership and media had been taking the Mickey out of them!
