People, local and foreign, visit the Ta’ Pinu basilica in Gharb, Gozo by the busload every day. The toilets in the vicinity are large enough to take a wheelchair, tet accessing them is difficult. The high step at the entrance makes it out of bounds for elderly people, even though some kind soul has placed half a ‘kantun’ under this high step. A ramp can easily be constructed on the side walk in front. Besides, redecorating the shabby premises won’t come amiss and some toilet paper surely won’t break the bank.
