In another section of the media, someone asked what police proceedings were taken after the unfortunate traffic accident of Justice Minister Owen Bonnici. The fact that Dr Bonnici is a minister and an MP should be irrelevant. Does the writer of the article imply that just because Dr Bonnici is an MP he can get away with anything? Are we still afraid that what happened some decades ago will happen again? Not impossible, but highly unlikely.
Around 2,000 years ago, we were advised to forgive 999 x 99 times. No need to get a calculator: the message meant an infinite number of times. No political party can bring a country of 2,000 years ago, forward… unless the people work on it without prejudice.
