New designer clothing and accessories boutique ‘LAZULI’ created a whirl of colour in St. George’s Square, Victoria for its official launch party last weekend when the public were treated to performances of authentic flamenco by Malta’s original Alegria Dance Company.
On 25th April ‘LAZULI’ welcomed over 150 valued customers and guests for an evening of exclusive shopping and flamenco dance with prosecco kindly provided by Abraham’s vini e capricci – wines & whims of Xewkija. On Saturday 26th April visitors and locals alike enjoyed flash performances of flamenco dance throughout the morning with special discount offers on shop purchases.
Charlotte Lombard, owner/director of LAZULI said:
“I was so delighted with the success of our launch this weekend, just one month after we first opened LAZULI. The response from our valued customers, visitors and the general public has been fantastic. People really like the summer vibe of the shop and that we offer a changing range of stylish, colourful, exclusive and ethically traded clothing, accessories and unusual lighting in limited quantities.
It was important to thank our customers and the team who had worked so hard to make LAZULI happen by offering a launch with a colourful party atmosphere. Abraham’s vini e cappricci generously sponsored the event and it was appropriate for two local businesses like ours with a similar ethos of quality products and excellent customer service to work together.”
The name Lazuli (from lapis lazuli and meaning ‘azure’ in Latin), the look of the shop interior and logo were developed from the idea of summer living on Gozo: the azure blue of the Mediterranean sea, sunshine, days at the beach, traditional Luzu fishing boats and the bright yellow of flowering fennel.
LAZULI is located in a refurbished 300 year old building at 1, St. George Square, Victoria, directly opposite sister shop Organika. Summer opening hours are: Mon-Fri 10-6 & Saturday 10-4.
