Cake Designer and author Zoe Clark will be in Malta on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th May to hold an Intermediate level Master Class as well as two demonstrations for professional and cake decorating enthusiasts alike.
The event is being organised by Johanna Ransley of Perfecting Cakes at Hotel Phoenicia, Malta’s iconic 5-star hotel which will provide the perfect setting of quality and style which are synonymous with Zoe Clark's reputation as a leading Cake Designer.
The event is being sponsored by the Malta Tourism Authority, as well as Stork, Calfam Services, Tescoma and Taste Magazine.
Zoe Clark travels the world running master classes and participating in the biggest cake shows such as ‘Cake, Bake and Sweets Show’ in Sydney, ‘Cake International Sugarcraft Exhibition’ in Barcelona amongst many others.
The Cake Parlour, is Zoe’s very successful cake business in London, where she runs a variety of classes for both experienced bakers as well as passionate amateurs who discover the secrets to creating beautiful designs and learn how to create everything from cupcakes and cookies to tiered wedding cakes and seasonal goodies as well as how to adjust each design to suit any occasion.
As parts of the Queens Jubilee celebrations, Fortnum and Mason had asked Zoe to create a special Jubilee cake for the Queen and the Duchesses of Cambridge and Cornwall’s visit to the iconic London store. Following on her royal success, the prestigious London store, then invited her to become their wedding and celebration cake designer where she continues to provide beautiful celebration cakes in line with the store's reputation for quality and perfection.
Zoe Clark has written six books on cake-making and decoration, including the blockbuster titles ‘Cake Decorating at Home’ and ‘Cupcake Love’ as well as three ‘Chic and Unique’ titles.
Three of her books will be available during her event where you can get your book personalised by Zoe herself.
The reputation Zoe has built up in the industry for producing immaculate cakes with her minute attention to detail was proved in 2010, 2012 and again 2013 when she was awarded Perfect Wedding magazine’s ‘Best Wedding Cake designer’.
Johanna Ransley has extensive experience in the hospitality business. She learnt her cooking skills at the Tante Marie Cordon Bluschool of cookery, where she graduated top of her class. On returning to Malta, she worked with leading hotel managers at some of Malta's finest hotels.
After spending some years raising her family, Johanna now returns to the catering business where she plans to bring to Malta world renowned cake designers so as to give local professionals and enthusiasts the chance to perfect their cake designer skills.
