We would like to thank all the staff at St Ann’s Residential Home at Gozo General Hospital who in some way or another helped our aunt, Giorga Vella, during her stay in the female geriatrics ward.

Six years ago, our aunt suffered a massive stroke that completely changed her life. She could no longer move and became totally dependent; her right side became immobile and suffered loss of speech. In spite of this condition, she was fully conscious and aware of what was going on around her.

Thank God, we found great professional care, help and dedication from the staff at St Ann, who looked after her health and overall well-being: they not only cared ‘for’ her but they also cared ‘about’ her.

Our love and care for our dear aunt together with their co-operation enabled Giorga to live a life of quality till the very end.

Thanks and may you keep on bringing sunshine into people’s lives.
