“The Art of Managing People” was the theme of a corporate seminar organised by Vassallo Group of Companies for its senior management at The Diamond, part of The Landmark Business Centre.

During the seminar a number of presentations were held covering topics such as senior management responsibilities in managing risks with a special focus on health and safety at the place of work; the employment law and its implications as well as how employee engagement could be enhanced through policy decisions and ensuing initiatives.

The subjects tackled elicited an interesting discussion as well as a number of questions from the participants who came from the various companies within the Group. Vassallo Group includes companies operating in the construction, health care, IT, hospitality and catering sectors among others. The Group is one of the largest employers on the Maltese Islands employing around 1700 persons.

In his concluding address, Group Chairman Nazzareno Vassallo praised the Group’s employees who throughout the years were the force behind some of the country’s major projects entrusted to companies within the Group by different administrations. He spoke about the Group’s intention to further invest in its human resources, which he described as its best resource.
