Once again the internal street of Bank of Valletta’s Head Office in Sta Venera has been turned into an exhibition hall for this year’s 22nd BOV Retrospective Exhibition featuring works by artist Anthony Mahoney.

The exhibition, which is curated by Fr Norbert Ellul Vincenti, was officially inaugurated by President Ms Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca in the presence of a number of guests and art connoisseurs who all had words of praise for the artist’s works.

Guests attending the inauguration were welcomed by BOV Chairman, Mr John Cassar White who, in his opening speech said, “Our determination in supporting the local artistic scene has earned us a place as a leading bank which supports the culture and the arts, to the benefit of the community at large. It is with pride that we temporarily transform the BOV Centre as an exhibition venue featuring the works of yet another renowned artist. Anthony Mahoney’s exhibits take us through the different stages and phases of his career.  The composition and contrasts with light and darkness evoke different emotions and this style is evident in a number of his pieces.” said the Bank’s Chairman.

This exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue which includes a concise biography of the artist together with a reproduction of the works of art being displayed in this exhibition. The exhibition will remain open to the general public until the 4th of July 2014.
