Marcello Mastroianni’s gaze is securely fixed on all the proceedings as they evolve on the Croisette, from the chaotic scenes during the day of people “tooing and froing “ from the Palais to the Martinez and back, to the flashes of the red carpet. Once again the weather was a protagonist and once again it was time for umbrellas, but this time,

participants bags.

U-Film Malta was present at this year’s the Marché du Film festival and attended a number of interesting meetings with producers who are interested in bringing their work to Malta. Whereas most projects discussed are still in development, quite a number could be shot in the coming
months.
U-Film Malta also attended a screening of the film Desert Dancer which features Maltese actress Marama Corlett: based on the true story of Iranian dancer :Afshin Ghaffarian . The film stars Frieda Pinto ( Slumdog Millionaire, Planet of the Apes)and Reese Ritchie ( Prince of Persia).
