The Greeks may have forgotten about their economic woes – or simply have more time to spare than others – by topping the list of the most sexually active nation in the world, according to a German newspaper.

Greeks have sex 164 times a year, or more than three times a week, Bild Zeitung reports.

Second place goes to the Brazilians, who do it 145 times a year, or 2.7 times a week, while the Russians come in a close third with 145 sexual encounters a year.

The chilliest citizens on the planet, according to the German newspaper, are the Japanese who have sex a meagrely 48 times, less than once a week.

The world average is 103 times per year, or just less than twice a week.
