On Saturday, 14th and Sunday, 15th June, Laguna Walk hosted its third Family Fun Weekend at its vibrant hub in the south of Malta. The Laguna Walk opened its doors to the public, once again, for everyone to enjoy the exciting activities and vibrant atmosphere.
This Family Fun Weekend built on the success of previous Family Fun Weekends held at the Laguna Walk in April, 2014. Activities included a continuous fountain show, and various food stalls, including Miss Ellen’s Travelling Treats, a BBQ station and a pizza stall. There were also bouncy castles, animation and puppet shows, face painting, an artisan market, segway rides, performances by Disney characters and an all-round lively atmosphere. Once again, the Family Fun Weekend at the Laguna Walk offered a unique and exciting family experience.
The successful events at the Laguna Walk will surely continue, as giving back to the general public is a top priority at SmartCity Malta. Speaking about the fantastic Family Fun Weekend, Anthony P. Tabone, CEO of SmartCity Malta said, “We are delighted so many families joined us during the Family Fun Weekend at Malta’s new events hub and the project’s latest exciting offering. We have many more exciting and unique events in the pipeline for the Laguna Walk, all aimed at continuing to draw visitors from all over the islands, and further afield.”
The first of its kind on the islands, the Laguna Walk at SmartCity Malta offers a dynamic venue for various events with its spectacularly choreographed fountains, beautiful promenade, grand steps and scenic terraced rooftops overlooking the lagoon. In addition, the open-air amphitheatre, which will host a number of upcoming attractions, and the terraced seating all enjoy breath-taking views of the infinity lagoon and the azure Mediterranean Sea. The Laguna Walk also offers a selection of indoor and outdoor dining experiences with food and beverages outlets including business partners such as Wejla by Tartarun, Chocafé, The Londoner Pub, Melita Steakhouse, Da Vinci, Bistro Ten-O-One and Incredible Asia who will offer a variety of cuisines to tempt every palate.
The SmartCity Malta World Cup Village, at the Laguna Walk, will continue showing all world cup games on a big LED screen up until the 13th July. Viewers will also find live entertainment, food stalls and a children’s fun area.
