The creator of GREY GOOSE Vodka celebrates success in Malta

Malta Independent Wednesday, 18 June 2014, 13:12 Last update: about 13 years ago

François Thibault, creator of the prestigious French vodka GREY GOOSE, is visiting Malta this week to congratulate P. Cutajar & Co Ltd on the success achieved with this premium vodka over the past two years.

GREY GOOSE is famed for its signature smoothness and character. The anniversary will be commemorated at a cocktail party being held tonight.

“Mr. Thibault’s presence in Malta is a great boost for us. We’ve done extremely well with GREY GOOSE and this event is a testament to our success,” said marketing director Sarah Zammit Cutajar.

Born in Cognac and son to a wine-grower, Mr. Thibault’s skilled handicraft made him creator and Maître de Chai of the GREY GOOSE — a title which he acquired following years of training in the regions of Bordeaux and Burgundy. After the training, he worked in cognac distilleries, including H. Mounier, and it is during this time that he met Mr.Sidney Frank, the man who, in 1997, initiated Mr. Thibault’s journey in creating the premium GREY GOOSE recipe.

“We believe in quality not quantity, so even though Malta is a small market, we are impressed by the performance of GREY GOOSE and we believe that this is a market worth investing in,” said Mr. Thibault.

GREY GOOSE, a luxury vodka, is distinct from the Eastern European vodka cultures through its specifically-chosen origin, France, which boasts a culinary history that Mr. Thibault evolved into a spirit-production process.

The origins of the GREY GOOSE recipe are rooted in the finest ingredients, starting from the winter wheat growing in and around northern Picardy region and ending with the pristine spring water in the south-bound cognac region of Gensac-La-Pallue.

The richness of the process has earned GREY GOOSE the title of the best tasting vodka in the world from the Beverage Testing Institute. The original GREY GOOSE is elegant and floral on the nose, with a slight note of citrus. It is soft and rounded on the palate with a hint of almond that leaves a fresh and bright finish.
