Funds donated by BOV Staff members were presented to the Sisters of Charity in Tarxien to help refurbish the conference hall that was gutted by fire earlier this week.

The fire destroyed audio visual equipment, furniture and other material in the conference that is widely used by the foundation as well as by many other groups and associations free of charge.

Kenneth Micallef, Head CEO’s Office at Bank of Valletta presented the donation on behalf of Bank of Valletta’s staff members to Sr Salvina Bezzina, Provincial Superior of the Sisters of Charity.

‘Each month, a large number of BOV Staff members give a small donation from their salaries for charity’ said Kenneth Micallef. ‘These are then presented to organisations that require assistance to continue providing the much needed services within our society’

‘We take this opportunity to invite other organisations to follow in our example and help the Sisters of Charity in repairing the damages caused by the fire’ concluded Mr Micallef.
