Former Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniyeh says two of his nephews were among six people killed in an Israeli air strike on his sister’s house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City earlier.

Haniyeh wrote the update of the attack on his Facebook and Twitter pages, according to Ynet.

He and other senior Hamas officials have gone into hiding since Israel launched Operation Protective Edge early Tuesday.

Haniyeh stepped down as prime minister when the Palestinian unity government was sworn in last month.
