Top student entrepreneurs from MCAST Institute of Business and Commerce won awards for their entrepreneurship. John Cassar White, Chairman Bank of Valletta presented the awards at the House of the Four Winds, Valletta on Tuesday 22nd July. Stephen Cachia, MCAST Principal and CEO, as well as Josef Buttigieg, Director of the Institute of Business and Commerce were also present.
“Bank of Valletta supports MCAST students as it strongly believes that education is the key to great opportunities.” said John Cassar White, Chairman, Bank of Valletta. “Entrepreneurship education is a major step towards the development of the students’ creative ability and problem-solving skills. Such awards will encourage MCAST students to do their very best to achieve their educational goals which, in turn is an investment both for themselves and for the entire community.”
The winning business plan called TravelDice, was presented by the team made up of Kimberly Azzopardi, Kristina Buhagiar, Robert Busuttil, Lyndsey Hollington, and Nicola Pace; whilst the business plan Errand Genie came runner up and it was presented by the team made up of Mark Andrew Azzopardi, Keith Cortis, Chantelle Mifsud, Lauren Parfitt, and Elaine Zammit.
