Recently, the two Victoria band clubs have been organising events in Republic Street, the main thoroughfare in Gozo, even during the tourist season. The result is a chaotic traffic situation for two solid days.

A stone’s throw away – Independence Square, known as It-Tokk, and the newly refurbished Villa Rundle – are both ideal for such events.

Is the Victoria local council happy with this situation? The people definitely are not. Complaints by the public are not being heeded, as they seemingly falling on deaf ears.
