The Palace,Sliema has completed the sixth sensedesigner suite of its collection, with the unveiling of the new and exclusive Fragrance Suite. The suite continues to strengthen The Palace’s position as a unique hotel in the hospitality industry in Malta. 

The Fragrance Suite forms part of six distinct designer suites inspired by the five senses and each with a different theme, namely Flavour, View, Light, Flavour, Texture and Music.

In designing the suite AX Hospitality Director, Claire Zammit Xuereb has used an array of classical furniture collected from antique shops and traditional Maltese homes which have been restored and tastefully set to create a unique atmosphere.Mrs Zammit Xuereb said that like the other five suites, Fragrance has its own distinctive features which have been carefully thought out and are completely different from the rest. We wanted to give our guests a unique experience each time they visit any one of our suites.

Given its unique accessories and design, the Fragrance suite portrays a Parisian vintage décor. On entering the suite one will notice the vintage luggage rack and straight ahead is a vanity unit which is reminiscent of the vanity units found backstage of the famousFrench theatres of the golden eras. The mirror in the vanity unit has an added twist and with one click of a finger,the mirror transforms itself into a flat screen TV that can be enjoyed from the bed across the room.

The room’s double bed features a white wrought iron canopy and on the left is a living room with another TV standing on a classical TV unit.

Adjoining to the right is a wooden bar that will add to the room’s aromas with a fine selection of whiskeys and cigars. This lounge area has been decorated with nostalgic frames showing the first hotel menus, floor plans and staff at the opening of the hotel in 2007.

The red touch in the spacious bathroom makes it look classic and yet elegant. The hand-made soaps, which will be on sale, have been brought in from a soap café and help to increase the element of fragrance. Both bathroom and room include a ‘for him and for her fragrances’ which are ready for the guests to wear.

All these features combined with the stunning views of Valletta and Sliema will help to make the Fragrance suite a timeless room, which will not be changed with time, but rather have features enhanced as time goes by.
