Spanish fashion brand Massimo Dutti is once again this year dressing up the forthcoming Mdina Gran Prix as one of the main sponsors at this year’s edition to be held between 9 and 12 October.

“Massimo Dutti is all about elegance, class and a subtle but refined presence. These are the main factors that make this brand one of quality and casual prestige. We feel that these features are perfectly aligned with the underlying essence of the Mdina Gran Prix and all that it represents,” explains Annabelle Caruana from Massimo Dutti in Malta.

Now in its fourth edition, the Mdina Grand Prix once again promises another magical four days of classic car racing through the idyllic countryside beneath the imposing bastions of Mdina, the former captal city of Malta. The weekend will also feature various cultural events and activities for the numerous local and foreign participants and their guests.

“Our association with the Mdina Gran Prix is a source of great pride for us at Massimo Dutti and we are proud to have found a natural collaborating relationship with the organisers of this prestigious annual event where elegance and prestige meet the refined casual and sporting nature of this classic car event,” added Ms Caruana.

The 2014 edition will see almost 70 classic cars participating over the four-day Gran Prix – Thursday, 9 October will be an all-day event at Mtahleb which will involve a hill climb and a BBQ on site. This will be followed by the Mdina Glass Concours d’Elegance on Friday, 10 October between 11am and 4pm. Saturday, 11 October will host the practice qualifiers between 9am and 4pm. Between 4 and 5pm, the paddock area will be open to the general public. Sunday, 12 October, the final day, will see a day of non-stop racing from 9am to 4pm.

Last year’s successful Mdina Glass Concours d’Elegance was extremeley well-attended, confirming the attraction enjoyed by such glamorous events. The island’s best classic cars will be joined by our overseas participants and a festive atmosphere is guaranteed with live soft music and competing car owners in period attire. We are proud to have Massimo Dutti on board as our sponsors and we are anticipating another important success,” said Ivan Bartolo, PRO of the Valletta Grand Prix Foundation.
