Eurosport unveils student discount card

Friday, 3 October 2014, 18:59 Last update: about 12 years ago

Students may have lost their smart cards this year, but local sports retailer Eurosport has this week unveiled its own card tailored for those attending post-secondary institutions. The Eurosport student card promises exclusive offers on all sports wear and gym equipment over the next two scholastic years.

Between October 1st and the 8th, students can collect their own student card from freshers' packs handed out to students during the University of Malta Freshers' Week. Students attending Junior College, MCAST and other post-secondary institutions also have the option of collecting their cards from Eurosport's main outlet in Birkirkara.

"Eurosport is great for students because our products don't only look good; they keep students comfortable during long hours of lectures. We created this card to further incentivise students to keep wearing their favourite brands and to stay active," said Christina Peresso, Managing Director at Eurosport.

A special student discount of 25% is available to all those in possession of an active Eurosport student card until October 11th, 2014. Meanwhile, a 15% discount on clothing items and 10% discount on gym equipment and accessories will remain until August 2016.

This campaign also forms part of Eurosport's ongoing initiatives to promote healthy living and fitness in a country struggling with obesity and inactivity.

In order to be eligible for discounts, students are asked to activate their Eurosport student card by visiting the outlet's Facebook page, filling in the required details and clicking 'submit'. The card can be used from all Eurosport, Adidas, Reebok and Skechers stores and is available to all students aged between 16 and 25 years.
