Earlier this week two drivers from the Ferrari Club Malta, turned up at Inspire's training premises in Bulebel and offered Inspire's adult clients an impressive ride in their Ferrari. Clearly emotional and very excited six young men and women who have an intellectual disability and who attend Inspire to acquire independent and educational skills, took off in a majestic red Ferrari for a ride they will never forget.
"It was an incredible experience," said David, one of the clients who collects Ferrari paraphernalia. "I always liked Ferrari's, I'm a big fan. Riding in one of them was a dream come true."
A spokesperson for Inspire said that for Inspire's adult clients such experiences are perfectly in line with Inspire's inclusion policy. "Sometimes our clients might not have the means and possibilities of pursuing their own dreams but, experiences such as these help bridge the gap between what they can do on their own steam and what they would experience had our society been totally inclusive."
Inspire provides services to over 1000 children, adults and families with different needs. Inspire helps them reach their fullest potential by providing educational, therapeutic and leisure services.
On Sunday October 5th the Ferrari Club Malta, and Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort, will also be organizing a Ferrari Sunday. This event starting at 12:00 and finishing at circa 15:30 Hrs. will include a static display of over 14 Ferraris, which will be parked by the entrance to the Marina Hotel -a must for all car enthusiasts of this cult luxury sports car brand. There will be a limited amount of pre-book rides in a Ferrari at a cost for Euro25 with proceeds donated to Inspire.
On this special occasion Marina Hotel will be offering a five-course Emilia-Romagna luncheon (home region of Ferrari) including a welcome drink and free flowing wines from this region at just Euro40.00 per person with a percentage going to charity.
