At a ceremony on Tuesday, Elitavia Malta obtained the Maltese Air Operator's certificate, presented to the company by Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis.

Michel Coulomb
President & CEO
Michel is well known in the corporate aviation community. Before founding Elit' Avia in 2006, Michel held the position of Chief Pilot and Chief Operational Officer for one of the largest fleets in Europe.
His responsibilities included the management of a fleet of over 50 aircraft with more than 250 pilots. Michel is also an experienced pilot himself. As an active pilot in the corporate sector for more than 15 years, he has flown over 10,000 hours. He has another 15 years of experience in successfully managing a variety of businesses in different locations around the world.
Bringing a well honed management style and a clear vision to Elit' Avia, Michel provides the clear focus and insistence on safety, quality and customer satisfaction that helps make us stand out from the crowd.
Michel also has a wide cultural background from periods of residence in Asia, Middle East and Africa. His choice of Slovenia as the headquarters of Elit' Avia was determined after a detailed analysis of the quality and depth of the local EASA based structures and full EU / Schengen and Euro Zone status of the country combined with its central location in Europe and availability of well educated, enthusiastic and multilingual staff.
Puja Mahajan
Chief Operating Officer
After graduating from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and receiving her BEng in Mechanical Engineering, Puja began her aviation career in 1996, when she joined Pratt & Whitney Canada as an Aerospace Engineer. In the years that followed through various roles, she gained experience in the fields of aircraft design and performance, OEM account management, operating budgets management, sales and marketing support and managing customer relationships.
Puja's expertise and emphasis on transformational leadership led her to her latest position as Director of Business Aircraft Flight Operations for Bombardier Aerospace in 2008. Puja successfully managed a multi-site and complex operation supporting all of Bombardier's Flight support needs during a period of time where Bombardier had emerged as the leading OEM for Business Aircraft.
Most notably during this period, she ran the award-winning and international "Safety Standdown Program", where she has established multiple partnerships with key aviation industry and regulatory organizations such as the FAA, the NTSB, NBAA, EASA and ANAC.
With over 15 years of experience in the field, Puja has joined Elit'Avia in 2013 as Chief Operating Officer. Her high degree of expertise in world-wide operations, safety and workforce management as well as her experience in building strong customer focused teams make her an important asset to the organization. Thanks to her fluency in French, English, Italian and Hindi, Puja is also hoping to provide worldwide clients with an additional dimension of service and support!
Puja is in charge of managing the company's growth strategy as well as ensuring high standards of safety and professionalism across all operations.
Tomaz Prezelj
Accountable Manager / Flight Operations Manager
In his more than twenty-five years in the aviation industry. Tomaz accumulated considerable experience and knowledge in technical and non-technical fields of aircraft operations, training and safety management. His formal education was concluded with a degree in aviation at the Faculty of Machinery in Ljubljana in 1988.
He has more than 13,000 flight hours under his belt, many of them as a trainer in transport and general aviation. Intense simulator and line training in the role of TRI/TRE provided him with the awareness of the importance of comprehensive training for safe and proficient operations.
He holds DC9, MD80, A320, CRJ100/900 & CL605 aircraft type ratings. Having operated several types of aircraft in different challenging environments gave him a better understanding of the professionalism and airmanship required to operate category aircraft safely and efficiently.
Tomaz's expertise over a broad spectrum of operational issues is supported by a comprehensive understanding of safety management. He has one of the longest continual periods in the industry as a Safety Manager, having been responsible for Safety Management Systems and Accident Prevention Programs in airline and corporate operations for more than fifteen years.
