Recently Megabyte Ltd. celebrated the company's 35th anniversary. Starting out in 1979, Megabyte is Malta's longest established privately owned computer systems company, offering a full range of IT services and support. Since its inception, Megabyte has built a reputation for quality and has pioneered some of the major developments in the evolution of Information Technology in Malta, boasting a long track record of achievements and consistent growth.
The key to the company's success lies in the expertise accumulated over the years in the development and implementation of total, cost-effective computerised solutions. Megabyte was instrumental in the introduction and development of business computer systems in Malta by engaging dedicated and highly qualified staff whose professional capabilities and experience were used in project management, systems analysis, software design and implementation followed up by first class support.
To commemorate this special occasion, Megabyte staff and their partners were treated to a sumptuous dinner at the Xara Lodge followed by an exclusive and vibrant performance by leading local band, Airport Impressions.
During this event, the company chairman, Thomas Galea, had the pleasure of announcing that Megabyte has this year acquired four new major contracts in the airline industry for Megabyte's proprietary airline route profitability system, Almira. Two of these contracts were with major Russian airlines and the other two were with airlines in central Europe.
