In great shape: Neymar scores all four as Brazil beat Japan 4-0 in friendly match in Singapore

Neymar scored all four goals Tuesday to give Brazil a 4-0 victory over Japan in a friendly match.

Playing at a neutral venue in Singapore, the Barcelona striker gave his team the lead in the 18th minute after running onto a through ball from Diego Tardelli.

He got his second three minutes after the restart, meeting a long pass from Philippe Coutinho and side-footing past Japan goalkeeper Eiji Kawashima, and completed the hat trick in the 77th when he beat Kawashima from close range.

The 22-year-old Neymar, who also hit the post in the first half from a free kick, rose unmarked in the six-yard box to head in his fourth with nine minutes to go.

"Neymar really enjoys playing, he has a good time," Brazil coach Dunga said. "He plays the same way he plays with his friends. We want to give him the chance of doing better."

It was the fourth straight victory under Dunga for Brazil, which is rebuilding after a semifinal run at the World Cup.

The performance capped a successful trip to Asia for Brazil, which beat Argentina 2-0 in China on Saturday in Beijing.

Japan, which has never beaten Brazil in 10 meetings, failed to win a game at the World Cup and is now focusing on defending its Asian Cup title in January.

Yu Kobayashi had Japan's best chance in the 24th minute but sent a left-foot volley over the bar.

Keisuke Honda came on at halftime as Japan coach Javier Aguirre tried to give his side more bite in attack. Shinji Okazaki hit the post in the 55th.
