If Maltese art gets your pulse going then make sure you get over to St Julian's this month to view the Cavalieri Arts Expression, a local exhibition with a difference. The varied works of a group of hand-selected local artists are being shown at the Cavalieri Art Hotel, St Julian's until 26 October."What we have at Cavalieri is a vibrant ocean of works of art that will most probably light up the world of whoever sees them," said Christine Calleja, the event's art director.Cavalieri Arts Expression exhibition will showcase the work of seven local artists and will include paintings, sculptures as well as egg art. Six to eight pieces of work by each artist will be seen at Cavalieri including pieces by Adele Borg, who has recently exhibited in Brussels where she currently resides; Candice Fava, the Maltese representative for the International Egg Art Guild; Matthew Apap, a Gozitan young artist; Matthew Farrugia, whose work represents a sense of euphoria with a contemporary twist; Matthew Mifsud, whose abstract work reflects emotions; Nick Inguanez, who seeks inspiration from everyday life and Tiziana Calleja, who believes every painting should be unique.Apart from the obvious connection to the arts with its name, the superior four-star Cavalieri Art Hotel was chosen to house the exhibition for its style and elegance, said the organiser.
