Seventeen renowned local and international artists have come together to help support the Inspire Foundation's disability programs.
Every artist donated a work of art to an online auction which is aiming at raising funds so that Inspire can reach out to more children and families who need its help.
The auction features works from Andrew Borg, Andreana Boldarini, Anna Galea, Arlette Zammit, Christopher Saliba, Clemens Hasengschwandtner, Debbie Caruana Dingli, Edward John Schembri, Jacqueline Agius, James Vella Clark, Julien Vinet, Marisa Attard, Mark Schembri, Nadine Noko, Noel Attard, Patrick Dalli u Richard Saliba. The works include a selection of landscapes, portraits, abstract pieces as well as illustrated collages and mixed media.
The fund raising initiative was launched last Friday evening during a special event at Farsonsdirect Wine Shop, where all the works of art where exhibited and Hons. Emmanuel Mallia opened the online auction that can be found on http://auction.inspire.org.mt.
"Inspire helps more than a thousand children with disabilities as well as their families, but there are many more people out there who need our help. Our disability programs help people learn better, socialize better, find employment and be more independent. They are run by specialists and experts in the field, and this is why their success rates are incredible. It is our aim to be able to reach out to more and more people who need us, but for this to be possible, we need your help because our programs are sustained mostly by fundraising activities such as this exhibition," explained Inspire's CEO Antonello Gauci.
The exhibit will remain open at Farsonsdirect until the 20th November 2014 and bids can be placed at http://auction.inspire.org.mt until 30th November 2014.
