It’s our government and we do what we want

Sunday, 2 November 2014, 08:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

About 50 days ago, a so-called farmer decided to dig a trench 10 inches wide and 10 inches deep across Birzebbuga Road in Safi to collect rain water in his well. So one has to endure bumps and shocks while driving on this road. This will result in lots of damage to our vehicles. This trench is also dangerous to pedestrians who use this road early in the morning.

Although several people including myself have reported this act of vandalism on this particular road to Safi mayor Francis Callus, Transport Malta, the Ministry in charge of local councils and Roads Department, it was to no avail.

A few days ago, I heard our Prime Minister Joseph Muscat telling hunters and trappers that if they want to enjoy their hobby they must report all illegalities to the police. Can the Prime Minister tell us to whom we can address our complaints and get a satisfactory reply?

I thank him in anticipation
