Opposition leader Simon busuttil and the PN will end this year exactly as they began, negatively, the Labour Party has said.
"This negativity is symptomatic of a Party Leader who does not have any control over his party, where the most extreme elements of the PN took the reins on many occasions".
"Over the past year the Opposition leader has, on occasion, said that the reduction in energy tariffs can't occur and on other occasions said that it is good that they have been reduced. We have seen him speak of a bailout, which never came, and today we have one of the largest rates of economic growths when compared to other EU countries. When the citizenship scheme was being launched, he spoke on foreign media trying to damage our country's reputation, yet it was not only approved by the European Commission but will also help our country".
"Dr Busuttil spoke about honest politics, yet he is everything but honest. We have seen him exhibit double standards in the case involving PN MP George Pullicino, who he not only defended, but prejudiced the solar panel case and the feed in taridd paid when he said he was innocent. Above all, he wanted the Prime Minister to rush the case involving former Minister Manuel Mallia's driver Paul Sheehan, yet today does not want to take steps against former Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici on the 2012 death of Malian man Mamadou Kamara at the hands of detention services officers.
"We have seen Dr Busuttil be insensitive to the case regarding poor concrete used at Mater Dei, and we have seen him speak about fuel prices when he was in fact quoting prices that do not exist".
"Over the past year, the Maltese people saw a difference between those who are negative, those who do not keep their promises and those who truly work to help the people move forward".
