The 36-year old Italian tenor and Franciscan friar is participating in the annual 9 February concert held in St Paul's collegiate church in Rabat.  The concert organised by the Paulus Foundation, is aimed at showcasing the beauty of sacred music while also reviving Maltese archives of such music.

Next year's concert will include the participation of Friar Alessandro who will be singing six solo works from his various albums.  The concert will be commemorating the 450th anniversary from the Great Siege of Malta and the 25th anniversary of Saint John Paul II's visit to Malta.

Friar Alessandro recorded his debut album with Decca Records in 2012 and during his first year as an international artist, the album topped the UK classical charts for a number of weeks.  He has sung on various international television programmes in many European countries, including the BBC Morning Breakfast Show and has also toured various cities in the USA.
