Malta Art Events will be presenting a Spectacular Ballet Gala, a night of extravagant talent from Europe's best ballet companies, on 30 December at the Hilton in St Julian's.

The organisers were responsible of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar at MCC in April and the Opera La Traviata and The Best of Broadway at Pjazza Teatru Rjal in July.

The second Ballet Gala will feature international soloists such as prima ballerina Vesela Vasileva from the Bucharest National Opera and Ballet, together with her ballet partner Daniel Tichkov. Other artistes include ballet stars Guido Sarno from La Scala Theatre in Milan, Sophie Benoit from The Royal Swedish Ballet, Martin Dvorak with Irene Bauer from the Vienna State Opera and ballerina Radka Prihodova with Adam Zvonar from Bayerische Staatsoper.

The artistes will be performing excerpts famous ballets such as The Nutcracker Suite, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet and Don Quixote.

This unique event, which is supported by the Austrian Embassy, is a family-friendly performance for adults and children alike, and this year, to make the show accessible to everyone, there are special prices for children and senior citizens.
