It was a spectacular scene indeed.
Father Christmas “flew” across Lake Geneva in Switzerland on Tuesday night, a day before schedule, some would say, but certainly providing hundreds of people with an unusual sight as they were concluding their Christmas shopping.
The flight over the lake – reindeer, sled and all – was assisted by 385 metres of tight ropes hung across the water expanse, and was the last of a series of activities of the 20th edition of the Montreaux Christmas fair.
