Over the past year, Bank of Valletta received 888 suggestions from its own people regarding different ways in which it could improve its processes and be more innovative in providing customer value. 25% of these suggestions were deemed feasible and are already being implemented by the bank.
Speaking about this initiative during a ceremony which awards the top contributors to this scheme, Charles Borg Chief Executive Officer at Bank of Valletta explained that employees, especially those in customer facing positions, are invited to identify effective solutions that can improve the bank's service delivery process. He also explained that it is often recognized that such schemes result in high levels of employee participation and boost motivation levels.
Two years ago, the Staff Suggestion Scheme at Bank of Valletta was given a significant overhaul and re-named the BOV Employee Engagement scheme.
