Film London Microwave International Malta applications deadline extended to 19 January

The recent call made by the Malta Film Commission for applications for the Film London Microwave International programme, which offers film training and professional mentorship for the development and production of a feature film has been extended to noon of Monday, 19 January. Teams comprising of a writer, director, producer and DOP with a feature film in development at least to first draft script stage can apply. Selected teams will be required to attend a mandatory intensive training programme called Microschool, taking place in the first week of February. The school combines seminars and masterclasses, focusing on specific topics alongside designated project development. Each team will work closely with experienced development and production mentors to develop the project and the team. Based on the training central to Film London Microwave, the agency's Microschool International has been successfully delivered outside the UK in Croatia, Georgia and Sweden.This programme is open to filmmakers who are Maltese citizens or hold a permanent residence status in Malta. There is no admission fee to this programme. Filmmakers interested in participating in this intense feature film training and mentorship programme are requested to download relevant guidelines and application forms from the Malta Film Commission website www.maltafilmcommision.com. The new deadline for applications is noon, Monday, 19 January.
