“MAHE also acknowledges the effort and precautions taken, which have safeguarded the lives of the Maltese, clients and its personnel who were on duty to ensure the best hospitality to its clients.

“MAHE extends its condolences to the families of the clients who lost their lives and to the the families of the MEDINA Militia personnel, who lost their loved ones whilst working to protect this property in Libya.”

Yesterday, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil urged all Maltese nationals in Libya to return to Malta, following the attack on the Corinthia hotel.

13 Maltese workers were evacuated on a special flight the day after the attack.
