Disney lovers, young and old, are in for a treat this February at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, as the Malta Philarmonic Orchestra proudly presents the original Disney live in concert production on the 13th and 14th February 2015.
The magical nights will include a repertoire of Disney classics from films like Aladdin, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean as well as the hit songs from Frozen. Singers straight from the sets of Disney will be joining the Malta Philarmonic Orchestra on stage. Malta’s very own magical voice, Gaia Cauchi, has also been chosen by Disney to join in the event as well as a children’s choir under the direction of Gillian Zammit. Families coming to the event will also relive the highlights of the films as scenes will be projected during the show.
Sigmund Mifsud, CEO of the Malta Philarmomic Orchestra, said that it is honour for the orchestra to be associated with Disney. In fact, Malta is one of the very first countries in Europe that will be staging this new production and all musicians look forward to being part of what promises to be a magical and unforgettable show.
The Friday and Saturday matinee shows are already sold out. Given this feedback, a third show is being held on Saturday evening. Tickets can be bought from www.mccc.com.mt
