The Real Ice Rink at the Bay Street Complex was a great success, which attracted an impressive number of visitors of all ages to try their skill at ice skating.  The Real Ice Rink will remain open until the end of March, 2015, every day.

Situated in the rotunda on Level 0 at Bay Street, Malta's leading shopping, dining and entertainment destination in St George's Bay, St Julian's, the new opening times of the Real Ice Rink, sponsored by Costa Coffee and Original Marines, are now from 2 p.m. until late on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.

In addition, the Ice Rink Team are hosting several special events, including Disco Skating on Ice for teens on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 7 to 10 p.m.; and Bubble Parties for all those who are young at heart, including games on ice, musical penguins and free toys for guests. This year the IR Team have included Language School Parties on Ice, which are themed according to the individual request of the language school.

During the week, parents who make use of the ice rink with their children are entitled to a free coffee, courtesy of Costa Coffee.

A spokesman for the Real Ice Rink at Bay Street said that ice skating has again been a great success. "Visitors at Bay Street appreciate that this is the real thing and we have extended our investment in this central area to ensure we cope with the greater demand."
